Processed cereals are one of the main culprits when it comes to hidden sugars. An easy way to knowing what is in your food – is to make your own cereals from scratch. I love making muesli, you can experiment with different seeds, nuts & fruits [go easy on these as they are high in sugar] I make up a huge batch, store it in an airtight container in the pantry & it keeps well for weeks.

Muesli is delicious served with a little milk, greek yogurt & generous serving of fruit
