In this recipe I list blanched kale, frozen. To blanch kale, simply strip kale off the stalks, pop into a large bowl. Pour boiling water over the kale, you will see the kale turn a brighter shade of green. Allow the kale to blanch for 5 minutes. Once blanched, rinse kale under cold water & drain. Pop kale into freezer bags & freeze.
1/4 Cup Cashew Nuts
1/2 Frozen Banana
1/2 Green Apple
1/2 Cup Frozen Kale
Handful of ice
300 - 400 ml Coconut Water
Place all ingredients into your blender/bullet/thermomix & blitz on high speed for approx 1 minute until smooth & creamy.
Serve immediately. Store any leftovers in a airtight bottle for a maximum of 24 hours
