Drain & rinse chickpeas throughly prior to using them in hummus.

Ingredients

1 x clove garlic
1 x can chickpeas, rinsed
Juice 1/2 lemon
1 x heaped tablespoon olive oil
2 x tablespoons water
1 Tablespoon unhulled tahini
1/4 - 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin, adjusted to taste
salt & Pepper

Directions

Place all ingredients into a food processor, blitz on high speed for 1 minute. Check consistency, wipe down edges of bowl & blitz again until desired creaminess is achieved. 

Taste & adjust seasoning with salt & pepper.

Notes

  • Hummus is great as a dip - perfect match to carrot & celery sticks
  • Use hummus as a spread alternative in wraps & sandwiches
  • Perfect base for my 'vegetarian sushi rolls'
